Thanks for all the input here! I like bottosson's suggestion of having a mapping to most of the visual spectrum rather than a specific gamut. I definitely would like a normative mapping for `oklab` and `oklch` that gets us to something like that. That would also provide a good delineation of "up to this point you do it this normative way, but after that it's up to you to get to the screen".
