Daniel, In http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-rdf-comments/2003JanMar/0384.html you requested the RDF Core WG consider the creation of an rdfs:Schema class to the RDF Schema specification. This was recorded as an RDF Core Last Call issue 'eikon-01', http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/RDFCore/20030123-issues/#eikon-01 The working group considered your proposal, and discussed it in the 2003-05-02 telecon ([1]). While we did not decide to create a new class called 'rdfs:Schema', the group accepts your case that a class to support such functionality is needed and useful. We decided to endorse the use of the owl:Ontology class (specified by the Web Ontology WG), rather than create a new, similar class. This is a proposal to close RDF Core LC issue 'eikon-01', with the resolution to use owl:Ontology where rdfs:Schema was proposed. Could you please indicate by replying to this message, copying www-rdf-comments@w3.org, whether this response is satisfactory. Thanks again for your contribution to this work.
