RDF Model and Syntax Specification

Hello,

I have a question according to the Model and Syntax Specification Chapter 6.
It says that within the propertyElt production the ID attribute is the identifier for the resource that represents the reification of the statement. What exactly does that mean? What does ID specify in this case? I didn't find any examples, maybe you could give one?
