I am opposed to W3C's RAND proprosal. I simply cannot imagine charging royalties to use an Internet standard. I just looked at my previous statement: "charging for an Internet standard" It seems to be an oxy-moron in and of itself. It goes against a lot of what the Interent stands for, not to mention how it operates. In short, don't charge royalties. It is fundamentally wrong. Respectfully, Greer Pedoe
