I agree with Jonathan that it would make good sense to put the illustration stuff in the same place as text equivalence. But I think that if the requirements of the guidelines are right, then reordering the guidelines should make no difference to how they work, and that beyond the requirements being present or not these arguments are editorial. cheers Chaals On Mon, 14 Jul 2003, Jonathan Chetwynd wrote: >Gregg, > >where is illustation mentioned in Guideline 3*? where are you referring >to? > >It may be that if illustration were placed within Guideline 1, >with an explanation of what makes for a good illustration in Guideline >3, >This might more closely follow the arrangement for text. > >Jonathan > >*http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/ > > > > >On Monday, July 14, 2003, at 09:22 am, Gregg Vanderheiden wrote: > >> Hi Jonathan, >> >> Yes, there is >> >> It is under “Understandable” >> >> Guideline 1 only acts to make sure it is within perception of the user. >> >> Guideline 3 is focused on making it fall within the understanding of >> the user. >> >> >> >> >> Gregg >> >> -- ------------------------------ >> Gregg C Vanderheiden Ph.D. >> Professor - Ind.
