I raised some related points in September 2019 --

I received only one, fairly unsatisfactory, response, but
I did not have the time nor energy to pursue it further at
the time --

Perhaps the overall discussion has advanced far enough now
that some substantive discussion is possible around whether
RDF*, SPARQL*, Turtle*, etc.* are appropriate labels for
what is being discussed ... and if so, how we might explain
the evolution from the unstarred to the starred, and how we
might document their pronunciation (and whether "star" might
be a better thing than "*" to append to the RDF labels, at
least in mind of discovery via web search, which will tend
to choke on the asterisk).

Ted
