You are talking about syntax, but RDF talks about meaning. We may need to get better at explaining this, but it is the core of RDF. And once you grok it, it's great. I knew that would happen. :-( Let’s not mess this up. So many people are interested in the grouping aspect. Did you tell them that named graphs are out if scope because they are used for other, application-specific purposes, and impossible to standardize? Given that this proposal is largely motivated by a desire to overcome the triple bloat of standard reification it seems slightly ironic that explicit modelling of grouping is now suggested to be a user-friendly approach.
