IMPORTANT: Publication schedule and reviewing

Sorry for the longish message, but it contains *very important
information*, so please read it carefully.

At the recent F2F meeting in Boston we agreed that:

- we would publish updated working drafts of (at least) the core
documents on or about 15th September;
- we would aim to have last call candidates of (at least) the core
documents ready for mid October;
- we would vote on transitioning these documents to last call at the
F2F meeting in Cannes in late October.

The core documents are:

- Syntax
- Semantics
   - Model Theoretic
   - RDF-based
- Mapping to RDF
- Profiles
- XML Serialisation

We urgently need WG members to carry out *detailed reviews* of these
documents before we publish. We would like to have 3 reviews of each
document, and we need the reviews to be completed by *9th September*.
We expect this to be the last round of (major) revisions before they
are transitioned to Last Call, so if you care about OWL *now is the
time to stand up and be counted*.

Currently we have the following reviewers committed:

- Syntax: Michael Smith
- Semantics
   - Model Theoretic: Michael Schneider
   - RDF-based: Jie Bao, Peter Patel-Schneider, Zhe Wu
- Mapping to RDF: Alan Ruttenberg
- Profiles: Jim Hendler, Ian Horrocks
- XML Serialisation

PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHICH DOCUMENT(S) YOU ARE
WILLING TO REVIEW.

Other documents that we would also like to publish on this schedule,
but that have lower priority, are:

- Primer, Requirements, Quick Reference

Other documents that may not meet this schedule

- Quick Reference, Test

What happens in these cases will depend on the progress that is made
over the next few weeks.

Regards,
Ian
