Pat, Trying to articulate that: as a Web resource (network accessible file) an HTML document bears structured content (markup) that expresses 'Web Page' oriented structure and presentation semantics. All of its distinguishing characteristics are captured in its content. Thus, a URL can serve as its name. An HTML browser processes HTML markup (post URL de-reference) en route to presenting a 'Web Page' to its users. In reality, then 'Web Page' moniker is still quite fuzzy, but we've generally settled for this moniker with regards to what browsers present to us.
