Nice. Actually, we have a resolution from Sofia [1] to get caret-color into level 3. With Bloomberg's blink implementation and your Gecko implementation, assuming they pass tests, we're even good for existing CR.

Landing it to CSS3-UI is tracked as issue 31: https://wiki.csswg.org/spec/css3-ui#issue-31

By the way, I assume you're also planning to contribute tests?
