For example if for clarity sake I'm assuming a desktop viewport which is simply resized as your screencap demonstrates (not rotated), then I don't see why you'd need a media query for the first use case. Wouldn't setting the display property to inline-block and making the icon + caption combos equal height suffice? (for simplicity I'm ignoring font zoom issues) -- Spartanicus
