What are the CSS1 properties that describe the typical rendering of a table? When padding is applied to a table, should it apply only within the margin or border of the outside edge of the block, or should it apply within each subdivision of the block? What are the CSS1 equivalents of CELLSPACING and CELLPADDING? Is it not possible to define general block-subdivision properties that can describe both tables and multi-column text-flow elements? Have there been any proposals? David Perrell
