RE: A way forward

I'm just trying to identify precisely what EOT-Lite is. There seems to be some confusion among its proponents. You've been telling us all we have to do to process EOT-lite is check and skip some header bytes, Ascender says we may have to XOR the payload as well.

While I have provided input, I am not specifying it and can only describe the proposal based on my understanding of the requirements from all concerned, my discussions with Ascender as well as compatibility with the IE installed base. The XOR’ing is optional and I’m unclear on why that’s necessary at all. I’m confident this is something we can work around if it’s a concern.
