Dear WAI Interest Group Participants, The W3C WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (WCAG WG) invites you to comment on a First Public Working Draft of Requirements for WCAG 2.0 Extensions: http://www.w3.org/TR/wcag2-ext-req/ **About Requirements for WCAG 2.0 Extensions*:* This document describes the requirements that the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (WCAG WG) is setting for the development of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 extensions. Extensions are optional standards modules that build on the existing requirements for WCAG 2.0, and are designed to work in harmony with the WCAG 2.0 standard. More information about this document is available in the blog post: https://www.w3.org/blog/2016/01/shaping-the-wcag-2-0-extensions **For review*:* The Working Group seeks public review of these requirements to ensure that extensions will strike an appropriate balance between meeting the needs of users with disabilities, working within existing WCAG 2.0 conformance policies, and implementability. **Comments*:* WAI encourages commenters to consider responding on the following questions... * Do WCAG 2.0 extensions benefit the web accessibility space at this time? * Is the proposed relationship of extensions to WCAG 2.0 clear? * Will a conformance model that includes extensions be easy to manage? * Do potential conflicts between extensions cause concern or increase flexibility? Please submit comments following the Instructions for Commenting on WCAG 2.0 Documents: http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/comments/ or send email to the public comments list: public-comments-wcag20@w3.org by *5 February 2016* URI: The first URI above go to the latest versions of the document.
