Re: Empty alt tags

Hello,

Can somebody explain me what an alt tag is? Is there something like <alt>blablabla</alt>?? And how to use this correctly?? 
In the faq I also read about an alt tag..
 
If  it does not exist, why  do you speak about this? 
 
I suppose you don't want  to be called Tom when your name is Dick...
