Programmatically determined determined by software from information provided in a standard, open, publicly documented and supported way. * Note: Standard does not necessarily imply a formal standard. A format that is widely accepted an supported would also count as a de facto standard. * Note: Open means that user agents and assisted technologies would not have to pay a royalty in order to extract and present the "programmatically determinable" information to the user. * Note: Publicly documented here means that documents are available in a free and accessible manner to the public. Availability on the Web is preferred. * Note: Supported means that sufficient user agents and assisted technologies support the method for extracting and presenting this information. What is deemed as "sufficient" is determined by those setting the technologies to be included in the baseline. One of the factors that should be considered before adding a technology to the baseline would be the availability of sufficient affordable user agents and assisted technologies which support the technology.
