RE: 1.2 issue

Hi Andrew, 

 

Your suggestion was to change this to 'time based media'

 

This has problems in that an audiofile is time based media but is not what
we mean to cover under 1.2.  In fact we specifically cover it separately in
1.1.

 

We only want to use combinations - not single media in 1.2. 

 

That is what was meant by confusion between 1.1 and 1.2.

Regarding 1841, in this bug I suggest that it be changedeverywhere,
including 1.1.

suggests to remove the term multimedia as it is too vague.  Outcome of the
debate may affect sc, how to, and techniques docs.

Recommend to close with explanation that the proposed change would cause
confusion between 1.2 and 1.1.  Subject to wg consensus.
