I think that Coralie has done the right thing - note that the current policy doesn't allow working drafts to go into the translation database, and notify people who might be interested that the translation exists. But I think, for the very good reasons that have been outlined in this thread (and previous threads) that the policy of not noting working draft translations is a very bad one. The reasonng always offered is that a replacement draft might not be translated, so people using the translation will be workng from erroneous information. Although I wonder what kind of second-hand guesswork they will work from if there is just nothing. I really think it is time this policy was changed. As a member of the W3C advisory committee, I will raise this formally in that arena. cheers Chaals >>>-----Original Message----- >>>From: member-bpwg-request@w3.org [mailto:member-bpwg-request@w3.org] On >>>Behalf Of Coralie Mercier ... >>> >>>Hello Maria >>> >>>The document is a proposed recommendation, hence it's not material for the >>> translations database [1] >>> >>>[1] http://www.w3.org/Consortium/Translation/#docs >>> >>> >>>As soon as the Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 are a rec and we have your >>>translation, that shall be included in the translations database. >>> >>> >>>I haved cc:ed the Members of the Best Practices Working Group to let them >>>know of your Spanish translation. >>> >>>Translation of: >>> >>> Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 >>> http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/PR-mobile-bp-20061102/ >>> >>> by Marta Ocio Barriales >>> >>> Buenas prácticas para la web móvil 1.0 >>> http://www.di.uniovi.es/~paule/bpv1.htm >>> >>> >>>Best regards, >>>Coralie >>> >> >> > > _________________________________________________________________ > Win a Zune™—make MSN® your homepage for your chance to win! > http://homepage.msn.com/zune?icid=hmetagline > > -- Charles McCathieNevile, Opera Software: Standards Group hablo español - je parle français - jeg lærer norsk chaals@opera.com Try Opera 9.1 http://opera.com
