Yes, DRY is an important requirement whenever we can make it work.

Really? I didn't think so. I think we just realized that it was much
easier to support in the "right" way given the new chaining rules. The
parsing rules are also only very slightly modified. Maybe two lines of code.

I think we should be thinking about this issue separately from what Mark
brought up regarding @resource acting like the subject.
