http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/track/actions/208 I made a first draft of the recast of the testcase structure README document [1]. Essentially, I propose we need some new vocabulary to describe update evaluation testcases, in order to describe the state of the graphstore prior and after the update query. See the new Section called "Update-Evaluation Tests" in [1] Further, I propose we devide the core test suite in 4 overall manifests: a) http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/docs/tests/data-sparql11/manifest-sparql11-query-syntax.ttl manifest of syntax-only tests (positive and negative tests) for the SPARQL1.1 Query Language b) http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/docs/tests/data-sparql11/manifest-sparql11-query-evaluation.ttl manifest of evaluation tests for the SPARQL1.1 Query Language c) http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/docs/tests/data-sparql11/manifest-sparql11-update-syntax.ttl manifest of syntax-only tests (positive and negative tests) for the SPARQL1.1 Update Language d) http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/docs/tests/data-sparql11/manifest-sparql11-update-evaluation.ttl manifest of evaluation tests for the SPARQL1.1 Update Language One open question for a) and b) is whether we just want to copy and extend the old test-suite for SPARQL1.0 or whether we want to keep the SPARQL1.0 only test cases separate. Some more open questions are marked with "@@@" in [1] comments welcome, Axel p.s.: I won't have a lot of internet connectivity before Tue, since we try to manage to get back to Ireland from Spain on the land/sea-way from Spain...fingers crossed ;-) 1. http://www.w3.org/2009/sparql/docs/tests/README.html
