The XML Schema WG is satisfied with the resolution of this issue. The original issue was not just about float/double-to-string but also implicitly about float/double-to-decimal, since float/double-to-string was then defined in terms of decimal. We understand F&O has undergone substantial changes in this area and offer a reminder that the conversion from float/double to decimal may need similar treatment. Thank you.
