@darobin ā Could you focus on confirming the four points that I thought we agreed on? Iām well aware that we do not agree on the role of consent. My position is simply that consent is used as the basis for the provision of digital services from publishing, web browsers, GitHub and everything else and that this group needs to include solutions that utilize consent in the most responsible way. This is a reasonable position. @alexcone ā We agree that jurisdictional legal requirements cannot be magicked away. This is perhaps a fifth point of agreement. @alexcone ā As soon as the confusion associated with retitling the issue was raised with me I turned it back to the original question. I apologize for the disruption caused. Overall laws play a role in the solutions we are debating. We need to be open about that and ensure that they are considered. We will not find optimum solutions only considering the role of a single profession. -- GitHub Notification of comment by jwrosewell Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/patcg/proposals/issues/5#issuecomment-1055684351 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
