I've forwarded your request to some of the people who work
on metadata for FLV. My belief is that FLV uses XMP for
metadata storage, and that the vocabulary is thus quite

I wasn't sure if you were familiar with http://www.adobe.com/devnet/xmp.html
and, for video, the guide to metadata for dynamic media:

I think this is more general than FLV, of course, since
the dynamic media schema is used somewhat independently
of the container format.

Subject: information for Flash multimedia container format

The Media annotation WG is currently working on a spec
"Ontology for Media Resources 1.0"

We have defined a set of (Core Set) Descriptive properties [1].

We are also defining multimedia container formats mapping tables
established from the Media Ontology's core properties to various
multimedia container formats.

One of these multimedia container formats is flv.

Could you please help the Media annotations WG and provide the
appropriate information to fill in the Flash mapping table ?

template is available at

We would appreciate your feedback to include this container in our spec.
