Jirimutu, Firstly, we do not have the option of going with the “Clean & Simple” column. The archaic forms, such as the U+1820-Second Medial, the U+182C-InitialDotted, the U+182D-InitialUndotted, etc. have been in the documentation from the beginning. So, we do not have that option. That moves us into the second column of your chart - Complete and Beautiful. As we are only dealing with the final forms now, I am in agreement with your placement of the undotted final at F+NoFVS and the dotted final at the F+FVS1. As we are all implementing the undotted final U+182C at the F+NoFVS slot AND the dotted final U+182C at the F+FVS1 slot does anyone have reservations on asking the UTC about moving from the medial specification to the final specification? Greg PS You have a mistake in the first column - FINAL Default is listed as ISOLATE Default PPS Why do you have the final feminine GA listed at F+FVS2? Let’s go ahead with another topic as attached dealing with 6 FVS assignments. The basic issue is that the current specification says to make the assignment at one position whereas the glyph is processed by OT rulings at another position. Greg
