Could we move it out into an AppCache module and publish it there? If there are tweaks/improvements to be made to it in the future, an AppCache2 spec can be taken up based on the module... -----Original Message----- From: Chaals McCathie Nevile [mailto:chaals@yandex-team.ru] Sent: Tuesday, May 3, 2016 6:43 AM To: HTML WG (public-html@w3.org) <public-html@w3.org> Subject: Remove appcache from HTML Appcache is pretty well implemented interoperably - but it doesn't do what people expect in a lot of cases. It is specified in HTML 5. Should we remove it from HTML 5.1 or future specifications, or just decide some other time if it starts getting removed from browsers? https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/40 -- Charles McCathie Nevile - web standards - CTO Office, Yandex chaals@yandex-team.ru - - - Find more at http://yandex.com
