If the HTML5 spec indeed was a specification of a vocabulary (as it used to be in 4.01), I would agree. However, the way it currently is written, it indeed tries to be a generic description of user agent behavior. The problem I raised *is* an interoperability problem that has affected people in the real world. So it escapes me why you feel HTML5 should be silent on it. BR, Julian
