Hello everybody,
I am new to the group. My first question is of administrative
nature. I want to change the e-mail address with which I registered.
There are 2 reasons for this:
1) All e-mails from the archive are unprotected. This is like inviting
spammers for a feast. It is just a matter of time before robots will
start to harvest all these addresses.
2) I created a dedicated e-mail address to handle issues with this group.
I am not sure how to proceed. There are instructions on this web page:
http://www.w3.org/Mail/Request
but they don't answer all my questions. Precisely, in order to change my
e-mail address I have to unsubscribe my e-mail address from this list,
then send a subscribe request from my new address. Looks like anybody
can do this. If that is the case, why did I have to get through all the
initial procedures, like getting approvals, signing papers (for patent
protection) a.s.o.
Questions:
1. Can anybody subscribe to this list without any prior conditions ?
2. Is there any link between the e-mail used to create the w3.org
account and the e-mail used in various mail lists ? Do they have to be
the same ?
Thank you for your attention.
Regards,
Razvan M.
