Hi Editors, [[[ 8.1.1. The DOCTYPE A DOCTYPE is a mostly useless, but required, header. ]]] -- HTML 5 http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/html5/spec/Overview.html#the- doctype Fri, 15 Jun 2007 01:20:32 GMT please change the sentence to: A DOCTYPE is a required header. Rationale: Either * it is useless and not needed, then it should not be part of the specification at all. * if it is required because "Including the DOCTYPE in a document ensures that the browser makes a best-effort attempt at following the relevant specifications." then it is not useless.
