Hi,
In today's chairs call we discussed voting on moving the BP doc to CR
this Friday.
There is tons of work going on and we're sooo nearly done. But the
following two things make us hesitate moving to CR:
* (to a minor degree) remaining open issues & actions
* (more importantly) there have been a lot of updates to the document
since last published version. As part of the W3C CR process we have
to clearly demonstrate we have received feedback on each version. We
might have trouble proving this with the newer content.
Remember, once we go to CR, we cannot edit the document, we are just
asking for implementations. If there are major comments, we will have to
roll-back.
So, the proposed solution :)
1. This Friday, we aim to close all issues and actions and freeze doc
2. Next Friday 8th Apr, we vote on publishing this draft of BP doc as
'last call'
3. We shout loudly about the BP doc and get comments from far & wide -
demonstrating feedback!
4. By 29th Apr, we address comments received and vote on CR
That sound okay?
Cheers,
Deirdre
