Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but wouldn't the metadata take the same format as the data itself, if it's embedded in it? My interpretation of Deirdre's initial observation is that it refers to self-describing data formats. In the scientific computing world, this is pretty common and generally considered a good thing to do, if the format suits the data. -Annette On 2/5/16 4:45 AM, Newton Calegari wrote: > Hi Deirdre, > > In the Approach to Implementation of BP1 and BP4 we suggest to use > RDFa and JSON-LD to handle embedded metadata. > Do you think the suggestion of RDFa and JSON-LD as was made in those > BPs are ok? > > cheers, > Newton > > BP1: http://w3c.github.io/dwbp/bp.html#ProvideMetadata > BP4: http://w3c.github.io/dwbp/bp.html#StructuralMetadata > > Em 09/04/15 05:44, Data on the Web Best Practices Working Group Issue > Tracker escreveu: >> dwbp-ISSUE-149: How to handle metadata that is embedded in the >> document?
