Dear All, As you know, Feburary 15, Barcelona, twenty four of the world¡¯s largest telecom companies announced <http://www.marketwatch.com/story/leading-operators-unite-to-unleash-global-apps-potential-2010-02-15?reflink=MW_news_stmp> their plans to create the Wholesale Applications Community (WAC), a unified open platform that lets developers build an application once, and deploy it to work on any carrier, device, and OS. They mentioned, the alliance plans to initially use both the JIL and OMTP BONDI requirements, evolving these standards into a common standard within the next 12 months. Ultimately, they will collectively work with the W3C for a common standard based on our converged solution to truly ensure developers can create applications that port across mobile device platforms, and in the future between fixed and mobile devices. How do you think about the WAC ? What is the DAP WG¡¯s point of view about WAC ? Should we need to make some formal comments about that ?
