Have you ever considered joining your initiative to one of the many established groups in our extended community? Funding new initiatives that aim to achieve similar goals or solve similar problems is an uphill battle. I’ve got $10M backed for a data sovereignty education prize but finding people to collaborate with effectively was far easier when I decided to join and collaborate and not crusade a new foundation. I only say this because finding money was super easy. Finding smart people that care about the problem space and have the headspace and capacity to fix it isn’t something money solves. In fact it attracted a ton of assholes to me and I told the family that put up the money that the initiative would wait until a more I could find established community of peers.
