W3C Workshop on Wide Color Gamut and High Dynamic Range for the Web

Today, W3C Management approved a remote-only workshop:

W3C Workshop on Wide Color Gamut and High Dynamic Range for the Web

My thanks to those who already agreed to serve on the program committee,
and we will be reaching out for more members over the coming weeks.

It is expected to take place around April 2020 and, following the format
of a couple of recent remote-only W3C workshops, will take the form of
prerecorded 10-minute presentations on each topic area followed by a
live discussion (which will be recorded and live-captioned).

Attendance will be by submitting a statement of interest to a program
committee. Speakers will also be selected by the program committee and
after acceptance will send slides, video of themselves delivering the
talk, and optionally a paper. The video will be captioned, and the
materials made available for viewing before each discussion segment.

After the workshop, a report will be issued which summarizes the
discussion and next steps arising. The talks, discussions, etc will all
be available for people to look at after the workshop, too.

Dates, submission methods, etc are still being firmed up but for now
there is a very draft Call for Participation
https://www.w3.org/Graphics/Color/Workshop/

and call for speakers
https://www.w3.org/Graphics/Color/Workshop/speakers.html

and if anyone is in a burning hurry to speak or attend, just drop a
message here (or to myself if you prefer) and I will keep track of
interest manually until a system is in place.
