Thanks, and nice timing - I've just ported my link header rubygem to Python - see http://pypi.python.org/pypi/LinkHeader/0.1 or http://bitbucket.org/asplake/link_header/. The Python version is rather smarter about when to quote attribute values (I should port this back to Ruby), but they are otherwise similar in functionality - parsing, formatting and conversion to/from json-friendly structures. Caveat: I've made no serious attempt (in either language) to parse title* attributes ("title*" "=" enc2231-string) but if anyone has need of them (or has any other feedback for that matter) please get in touch privately and I will see what I can do.
