Hi, We are glad to announce the release on IBM Alphaworks at http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/xmlsqc of the latest version of IBM XML Schema Quality Checker, version 2.0. XML Schema Quality Checker (SQC) is a program which takes as input documents containing XML Schemas written in the W3C XML schema language and diagnoses improper uses of the schema language. Where the appropriate action to correct the schema is not obvious, the diagnostic message may include a suggestion about how to make the fix. Here are some of the important changes made for this new version : 1/ direct validation of embedded schemas like those which may appear in WSDL documents or XForms 2/ use of Xerces 2.0.0 3/ known bugs of the previous version fixed 4/ for Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org/) or WSAD ( http://www.ibm.com/software/ad/studioappdev/) users, SQC can now be installed as an Eclipse or WSAD plugin (Note : SQC can still be run as a standalone command line program). Enjoy! Achille Fokoue IBM T.J. Watson Research Center achille@us.ibm.com
