Yes, the ebXML group bumped into this a 2-3 weeks ago, primarily concerned about signatures and the effect of intermediaries inserting new headers, and "artistic" whitespace. The decision was made to document it and bring it up with XMLDSIG to fix, probably by defining a new transform.
