TITLE: annotations DESCRIPTION: Concerning annotations, AS&S (OWL Lite/OWL DL): - is not particularly clear quite what is and is not permitted - appears to have some arbitrary exclusions of certain RDFS properties - breaks semantic layering - appears to permit the use of user defined annotations - does not provide any mechanism for the user to define annotations - prohibits many of the examples in the DAML ontology library. (Generally the RDFS experience of annotations in RDF seems superior). This issue is to resolve the syntax and semantics of annotations and their interaction with the rest of the ontology (if any).
