In the semantics document http://www-db-out.bell-labs.com/user/pfps/owl/semantics/rdfs.html#owl_sameAs _rdf SameAs is equivalent to SameIndividualAs and only implies SameClassAs. But the reference states that When applied to a class, the owl:sameAs element has the same semantics as the owl:sameClassAs element.
