WOWGers- I am pleased to announce that Guus Schreiber has agreed to co-chair the Web Ontology Working Group and that this has been approved by the W3C Director. As you may have guessed, the size of the working group and the amount we are trying to accomplish makes chairing this group a difficult task, consuming a very large amount of time. I had reached the limit of what I could provide without help, and am very happy that Guus has agreed to cochair. As you saw at the Face to Face Meeting, Guus is good with organization, has a strong background in our area, and is very good at being the calming voice of reason when tempers flare. I look very forward to working with him, and thank him profusely for agreeing to take this position. I know you'll give Guus the same sort of support and cooperation you've given to me, and I believe this will help us to reach our goals sooner. -Jim Hendler Co-chair, Web Ontology Working Group -- Professor James Hendler hendler@cs.umd.edu Director, Semantic Web and Agent Technologies 301-405-2696 Maryland Information and Network Dynamics Lab. 301-405-6707 (Fax) AV Williams Building, Univ of Maryland College Park, MD 20742 http://www.cs.umd.edu/users/hendler
