... and w3c-markup-validator (including checklink) just entered Debian
"unstable". So if you're using this distribution, typing "apt-get update &&
apt-get install w3c-markup-validator" should install the package (you may
have to wait for a few days if you're using a mirror of the archive).

If you're using an other Debian distribution (stable or testing), or if you
always want the latest version of the package, the indications given in the
message at the URL above are still valid.
