Yesterday I circulated a proposal [1] to cancel the TAG F2F meeting that
was to be held next week, and to instead have a single session of
approximately 3 hours afternoon of Tues 15 January (EST) that will be F2F
for those who happen to be in Boston, and by phone for other TAG members. I
received several favorable comments and no objections.

Therefore, the plan outlined at [1] is now official. Repeating it for the
record with minor clarifications and cancellation of this week's call:

* The TAG F2F of 14-16 January 2012 is hereby cancelled. It's assumed that
those traveling from out of town will cancel their travel, though Yves
indicates he may be in Boston anyway.

* There will be no TAG activities on Monday 14 January or Wednesday the 16th.

* On Tues 15 January, those of us who are in the Boston area, including
John Kemp and Norm Walsh (if they wish to join us) will meet at the Stata
Center in time to have lunch. John has already expressed interest. I will
announce an exact time after consulting with Amy.

* Starting at 1:30 PM EST we will meet in the Kiva room (4th floor),
with a teleconference bridge so that non-local TAG members can call in. For
the moment, I'll assume this will be a formal meeting with a quorum,
scribes, etc., but that will depend on participation. We'll go for about 3
hours.

* I will invite newly elected TAG members to dial in, or attend in person
if local. The main (perhaps only) agenda item will be discussion of TAG
directions with the new members. If there is other business we can do,
that's fine too.

* Plans for Tues evening for those in Boston are TBD and will be discussed
on the TAG's member-only list. At most we will have a social event for
which attendance will be optional.

* The TAG teleconference of 10 January is hereby cancelled. As noted above,
newly elected members will be encouraged to call into the session on
Tuesday afternoon.

* We will decide on the 15th whether it's also worth having a call on the
17th. I'm assuming probably not.

* If there is business to do relating to publishing and linking, fragment
ids, or other ongoing TAG projects, please alert me, and I will schedule
teleconference time for it within the next 2 weeks.

Thank you for your flexibility in adapting to these changing plans.

Noah
