TAG members: Philippe Le Hegaret has kindly alerted me to the fact that
the HTML WG is soliciting proposals on decentralized extensibility, with a
target date of March 23 (which is the day before our F2F starts). I will
schedule this for discussion on our telcon this Thursday. Please start
thinking about whether any of you (Henry?) would like to pull together
some sort of technical proposal and or suggestion for what position (if
any) the TAG should take. If necessary, I will suggest to the HTML WG
chairs that we might appreciate having a few days after the end of our
F2F, so that we can reach decisions there, and then write them up.
Thank you.
Noah

Subject: ISSUE-41: decentralized-extensibility - Chairs Solicit
Proposals
Date: Tue, 23 Feb 2010 16:53:04 -0800
"Decentralized Extensibility"
This issue has been open nearly two years, and there has been much
discussion. It was originally raised before the current decision
policy went into effect. While our drafts include a number of
extensibility mechanisms, there have been many suggestions for
additional extensibility mechanisms. Some WG members have expressed
their eagerness to write up their ideas more formally and move forwad
on this issue. Per the decision policy, at this time the chairs would
like to solicit volunteers to write Change Proposals.

If no Change Proposals are written by March 23, 2010 this issue will
be closed without prejudice.
