The agenda for tomorrow's TAG teleconference is available at [1,2], and in
text-only form below. I note that a significant number of actions are
currently overdue [3]; please start making progress on these, and also
update the action pages to reflect progress and realistic due dates. Time
permitting, we will review the status of overdue actions tomorrow on the
call; the more of these that get straightened out before then, the fewer
we will have to discuss. Thank you.

+ Chair: Noah Scribe: Dan Connolly (confirmed)
+ Roll call -- Regrets: Dan Appelquist, Tim Berners-Lee
          + Future regrets: none
          + Agenda Review - [10]this agenda
+ Next Meeting: 25 February 2010 Chair: Noah Mendelsohn
+ Future scribes: Dan Appelquist -> Dan Connolly -> Jonathan
    2. Approve minutes of prior meeting(s)
          + Revised [11]minutes 28 January 2010 were [12]announced by
Larry on 17 Feb; per [13]ACTION-385 these will be marked as
approved if no objections are received by 19 Feb (no
            discussion today)
          + [14]11 February 2010
    3. Administrative items
+ The chair requests that TAG members start thinking about
technical content of upcoming F2F meeting
+ The chair will soon be preparing a written TAG status
report to Advisory Committee. This will be based on a
review of our work since the last report — TAG members with
input for the report are encouraged to provide it to the
            chair soon.
+ Tim should be back with us next weeks: if there are agenda
items you've been holding for his return, please alert the
chair in time for preparation of the agenda for 25
    4. [15]ISSUE-41 & [16]ACTION-388: Shorter document on version
          + This relates to Larry Masinter's HTML WG [17]ACTION - 172,
which is associated with HTML WG [18]ISSUE - 4: HTML
Versioning and DOCTYPEs and HTML WG [19]ISSUE - 84: Should
spec discourage use of "legacy" doctypes? (HTML WG chair
has requested that the TAG and HTML WG coordinate
            scheduling of work on this)
          + [20]ACTION-388: on Jonathan Rees - Take a look at [21]LMM's
            doctype/versioning proposal - Due: 2010-02-11. Jonathan
[22]asks for clarification, and [23]Larry responds.
+ See also: [24]ACTION-369: on Larry - Write a shorter
document on version indicators - due 2010-02-04 - CLOSED
review. Larry notes under that action: "On January 2, I
submitted a HTML working group "change proposal" for
reintroducing DOCTYPE versioning with some additional
rationale for why having such a version indicator would be

/0015.html, and some subsequent discussion of that
document. I think that is a "shorter document" on version
indicators, specifically for the "HTML 5 review" product.
So I claim "a shorter document on version indicators" has
been written. It would be great if some other TAG member(s)
would want to help with this change proposal. [Larry
