Hi, Bulia- | by the way, I checked out your page, and I must say I wholeheartedly | support your proposal for the variable stroke width. This is one of | the cases where "emulating" it with <path> with extended attributes | would be extremely messy. The plain standard-SVG solution that you | propose is much simpler and more elegant. Thanks. I get a lot of feedback from people using SVG as an art medium that really like the idea. I'm still waiting on an implementation of Vector Effects to see if that can handle it. | The only thing I don't like is binding the widths array to the control | points of a path. In Inkscape, for example, it's easy to add/remove | path nodes (almost) without distorting the path, so it would be nice | to be able to do this without distorting the stroke shape either. That was just the first thing that occurred to me as a simple solution. And the example shapes I made were not very pretty or useful; the use case is still compelling though, I think. I'm open to any other syntax, as long as it's simple and easily implementable. Regards- Doug doug . schepers @ vectoreal.com www.vectoreal.com ...for scalable solutions.
