i have just posted an initial set of *simple* tests for writing-mode support at http://www.w3.org/International/tests/repo/results/writing-mode-vertical with results for major browsers. (See csswg-test on github for more detailed tests.) it so far covers basic scenarios for vertical-rl and vertical-lr values. the results include Microsoft Edge, and there are tests for prefixed and non-released versions as well as for the standard CSS syntax. i was surprised to find that Edge supports writing-mode:vertical-rl/lr in addition to the old tb-lr/rl values. With the imminent release of support in Firefox, this is good news (although Edge still doesn't have support for vertically oriented forms). ri
