FYI, the OpenType spec, which now will be allowing SVG glyphs, defines a 
user agent style sheet that maps palette entries from the font into CSS 
variables declared on the root of the font document.  Comments on that 
spec are due by March 24, and I'm not sure how easy it will be to change 
after that point.  So please decide on the naming syntax for custom 
properties before then! :)
