The CSS WG has published an updated Working Draft of the CSS Foo Module Level #: http://www.w3.org/TR/css-variables The Variables spec defines a family of "custom" properties, whose names and values are completely author-defined. These properties provide values to "CSS variables", a new type of value, which are substituted with the values they stand for, allowing authors to create more modular and maintainable style sheets by centralizing the definition of common values. We'd appreciate people to review this draft carefully, as we expect to take it to Last Call soon. In particular, the section on the variables API is fairly new, and we would appreciate feedback on it. Significant changes are listed at: http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/WD-css-variables-20130312/#changes Please send any comments to this mailing list, <www-style@w3.org>, and please, prefix the subject line with [css-variables] (as I did on this message). For the CSS WG, Tab Atkins
