Lots of sites do "alternative stylesheets" Duplicating browser function using page content amounts to polluting the page. Including a text sizer at top of a page is nuts. Browsers have preference settings for fonts for good reason. Users should use them. Page authors should understand a non-zero number of users use them, and should respect them. Users shouldn't need such defense mechanisms as zoom and minimum font size enforcement in their browsers. > manually, with a bit of JS. A workaround at the outset would not only require rewriting currently working pages, but learning JS, the latter of which is unlikely ever to happen. The tiny bits of JS in pages on my site all represent gratis contributions from other people. My heaviest example of its use is on: http://fm.no-ip.com/Auth/Font/fonts-face-samplesM A lighter one: http://fm.no-ip.com/Auth/zoomlevel Lighter still: http://fm.no-ip.com/Auth/Sites/Ksc/ http://fm.no-ip.com/Auth/ contains most of the rest. At least one elsewhere is an attachment I submitted to a bug tracker report: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=772151 -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
