Some more experimenting showed that the CSS width attribute is quite usfull (so that I can check it and if it is > 50% set the "float" propery to false). However it seems that in Mozilla 1.0 and Netscape 7.0 even if setting the width attribute works, the initial value is undefined. CSS or CSS-DOM do not seem to define if it has to have any initial value. Any help on that would be REALLY appreciated :) Mike. P.S. (glad to at least discover that that the problem can be solved using CSS so the original message wasn't *so* off-topic)
