Nicolas Lesbats' suggestion of toggle(first-value, second-value); such as toggle(italic, normal); is very good. L. David Baron's suggestion of cycle(x1, xi, xn); for example, list-style-type: cycle(disk, square, circle); /* something like typical UL */ with his conditions: * if the value of the property on the parent is *none* of x1...xn, the value on the element is x1 * if the value of the property on the parent is xk, then the value on the element is x(k+1), unless k=n, in which case the element gets value x1 is also very good. I would suggest that toggle() be preferred (simpler) in cases of two items, while cycle() would cover three or more items. MWhisman@aol.com (Ben Whisman)
